Project: Zion Lutheran Church – Sanctuary Sound System Renovation
Location:Grand Rapids, MN
Brief Project Summary:
Zion Lutheran Church replaced a 20+ year old sound system. The church utilizes both traditional and contemporary music during its worship services and has a strong emphasis on the spoken word. With the chancel area located on the long side of a rectangular room special attention was given to insuring that all seating areas given proper coverage. A pair of EAW MK5126e speakers were flown above the chancel for the main seating areas and a pair of EAW MK8196e speakers were used for side seating coverage. A TOA M900 mixer provides inputs for daily services and the wireless ear set microphones while an Allen & Heath mixer board address the music inputs. The Shure digital processor allows each mixer to be equalized independently while using one speaker system. This design displays an excellent balance of musical flexibility while maintaining outstanding speech intelligibility.
